Flexibly adaptable, space-saving and maintenance-free solution for precise angle and position measurement in compact drive systems
Integrated magnetic encoders from Kübler reliably detect the change in magnetic fields from the north and south poles on a ring that is connected to the drive shaft. Thanks to the flexible selection of resolution and magnetic ring geometry, the sensors can be optimally adapted to different drives and requirements. They offer a maintenance-free, space-saving solution for compact motors and ensure precise angle and position measurement, even under demanding industrial conditions

A. Sensor technology in IP67 housing for use even in unprotected areas
B. Sensor board for direct integration into the drive - shape and dimensions can be customized
C. Magnetic rings for different shaft diameters and mounting types
D. 2 mm or 5 mm pole length of the magnetic rings - optionally with reference signal
If high demands are placed on signal quality, the RIM200 bearingless rotary encoders with 2 mm pole length or the RIM2000 programmable bearingless rotary encoders should be used. This requires good bearings and a stable installation process that allows an air gap of up to 1 mm.
If the application requires a larger air gap (up to max. 2 mm), the RIM500 bearingless rotary encoders with 5 mm pole length or the RIM5000 programmable bearingless rotary encoders are used. These also offer high performance and high signal quality.
Even if a high resolution can be realized for all outer diameters, it is recommended to select the largest possible diameter.
Various diameters and fastening types are available for mounting on the application shaft.
The magnetic ring is connected to the application shaft. The sensor module records 2 signal periods, which are offset by 1/4 of the pole length, as input signals A and B. This results in 2 electrical voltages as sine and cosine signals, which are converted into square-wave signals depending on the programmed number of pulses.
An optional reference signal (1x per revolution) can be used to determine angular positions.
